The Brit Awards with Mastercard are set to dazzle audiences on March 1 at London's iconic O2 Arena. Leading the nominations this year is Charli XCX, who has secured five nods, including the coveted Song of the Year and Artist of the Year. In a remarkable turn of events, The Beatles have also received their first Brit Award nomination in over 40 years, competing in the Song of the Year category with their track "Now and Then."
"Now and Then," a song penned by the late John Lennon in the late 1970s and completed by Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr, is facing stiff competition. Other contenders for Song of the Year include hits like "Guess" featuring Billie Eilish, "Feelslikeimfallinginlove," "Training Season," "Angel of My Dreams," and "You're Christmas To Me." This nomination marks a significant return for The Beatles to the Brit Awards stage after decades.
In addition to Charli XCX's impressive slate of nominations, Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party, and Ezra Collective have each garnered four nominations, including for Mastercard Album of the Year. The international categories feature prominent names such as Benson Boone, Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift, each earning two nominations for International Artist and International Song of the Year.
The Cure completes the shortlist for the night's biggest prize with their comeback LP, "Songs of a Lost World," which has earned them their third nomination this year. The band has a storied history with the Brit Awards, having previously been nominated once in 1990 and twice in both 1991 and 1993, winning a total of two awards.
Emerging artist Rachel Chinouriri is in the running for Best New Artist and expressed her excitement about her nomination.

Myles Smith is another notable nominee this year, up for three accolades. His song "Stargazing" is also shortlisted for Song of the Year, alongside nominations in both the Best New Act and Pop categories.
