Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, who arrived in India approximately 5-6 months ago, had been working for a housekeeping agency under a false identity. Police Commissioner Dixit Gedam confirmed the arrest and the unfolding investigation.

India's Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed this pressing issue during a meeting with students in Raipur on Wednesday. He acknowledged the severity of illegal migration and its impact on the country.

"We are suffering illegal migration in this country of millions. If we go to count the number … mind-boggling. Illegal migration has to be dealt with, but it developed … without even a token of resistance. It’s a problem we will have to handle because it has taken the shape of unmanageable dimensions." – India’s Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar

The suspect's arrest has intensified political tensions, with the AAP criticizing the ruling government for its perceived inadequacies in border security.
