In the wake of Barbie's death, her mother has reached out to the public through Taiwanese television producer Wang Wei-chung, requesting privacy as they manage her afterlife arrangements. The family has also expressed hopes that the media will assist in honoring Barbie's wishes. Additionally, her sister, host-singer Dee Hsu, confirmed the news on social media, stating that she and Wang Xiaofei would be available to help with any necessary arrangements for Barbie's children.

The news of Barbie's passing has stirred emotions on social media. Criticism erupted after Wang Xiaofei's mother, Zhang Lan, posted a video on Weibo discussing her business achievements.
