Actor Armie Hammer has opened up about his past behaviors in relationships, likening his romantic partners to "bags of dope with skin on them." His candid admission sheds light on his approach to whirlwind romances. Hammer's reflections highlight a pattern where he engaged intensely with partners only to move on swiftly, leaving many feeling hurt.
During a recent interview, Hammer explained the nature of his relationships, comparing them to intense but fleeting experiences. This behavior, he admits, left a trail of dissatisfaction and anger among those he was romantically involved with. The actor acknowledges the negative impact of his actions and describes his conduct as inappropriate.
"People were sort of like my bags of dope with skin on them."
Hammer elaborated on the intensity and eventual dissolution of his relationships. He described how he would immerse himself in a romance, creating a whirlwind experience for his partner. This included elaborate trips and adventures, only to end the relationship abruptly and repeat the cycle with someone new.
"You make me feel amazing, so I'm gonna throw everything into this, and we're gonna have this whirlwind romance, and I'm gonna whisk you up, and we're gonna go on trips, and we're gonna do all this, and then I'm gonna bring you home and go, 'Thanks so much, that was great,' and then I'm gonna move on. And then I'm gonna do something almost exactly the same with someone else."
Hammer expressed remorse for his past actions during the interview. He acknowledged that his behavior left many partners feeling upset and angry, recognizing that his conduct was not acceptable.
"And I left a lot of people in that wake very angry at me for my behaviour — which, by the way, was a***** behaviour; there's no way around that."
