Billboard Women in Music Awards Celebrate Iconic Female Achievements

The 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards will shine a spotlight on outstanding female artists and their contributions to the music industry. Scheduled for March 29, the ceremony will be held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles and hosted by actress Laverne Cox. This prestigious event will honour several notable artists, including K-pop star Jennie, who will receive the Global Force prize, and the South Korean girl group aespa, celebrated as Group Of The Year.

Muni Long, known for her hit "Hrs and Hrs," will be recognized with the Rising Star prize. The event also highlights country star Megan Moroney as she receives the Rulebreaker prize for her unique contributions to the genre. Meghan Trainor will take home the Hitmaker prize, acknowledging her consistent success in producing chart-topping hits.

Gracie Abrams, a rising name in the music industry, will be awarded the Songwriter of the Year accolade. Meanwhile, Tyla, at just 23 years old, will receive the Impact Award for her significant influence in the music scene. Rapper GloRilla is this year’s Powerhouse honouree, further emphasizing the diverse range of talent being celebrated.

The awards ceremony is set to be a truly global event, presenting these honours to a worldwide audience. Billboard editorial director Hannah Karp expressed the significance of the occasion:
