Originally from Thailand, Kaewsoda moved to Singapore with little knowledge of the local language or culture. Despite these challenges, she made it her mission to ensure her family's well-being, prioritizing their needs above her own. Her passing marks the end of a life dedicated to selflessness and love.
Kaewsoda's journey in Singapore was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family. Her daughter, Hong Ling, fondly recalls Kaewsoda's efforts to integrate into the new environment by learning Chinese, ensuring that her child would not feel out of place among peers.
"A mother's love for her child, she was afraid I would be laughed at by my classmates for speaking Thai, so she forced herself to learn Chinese from scratch, just so that she could help me fit in." – Hong Ling
In recent years, Kaewsoda began exploring personal interests such as gardening, tai chi, and hiking. Despite these newfound hobbies, her commitment to family remained steadfast. She was known for preparing her family's favorite Thai dishes and continued this practice during the circuit breaker period, cooking tirelessly every day.
"During the circuit breaker period, she has been cooking non-stop every day, just to feed us. We love her to the moon and back!" – Hong Ling
Even during her battle with cancer and chemotherapy treatments, Kaewsoda's resilience shone through. She continued to cook for her family until her final days, determined to leave them with cherished memories of her culinary love.

The wake for Kaewsoda Kesorn will commence this afternoon, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. The cortege is scheduled to depart on Thursday at 10 am.
