Yet this victory highlighted their heroic bounce-back after suffering four-straight salary-cap managerial defeats.
Sharma’s impressive innings included 10 sixes and 14 boundaries, contributing significantly to the team’s success. He acknowledged the challenges they faced in the first half of the match, stating, “This one is very special because I wanted to break that losing streak. Losing four matches back-to-back was very tough. We never talked about it in the team.” His determination and laser-like focus were instrumental in changing the momentum to favor Hyderabad.
A Strong Start for Sharma
Sharma started his innings with a bang, racing out to a terrific start. Although he was under the duress of pursuing a high score with every ball, he showed remarkable calmness during those first few overs. “I was a bit patient in the first two overs,” he noted.
