Among their criteria, they appreciated Trestles for its deep-rooted reputation as a mecca of modern surf culture and its world-class wave quality.
This announcement is a huge victory for the global surfing community. It will make its Olympic debut in 2021 in Tokyo and return in a bigger way in 2028. “Those two finalists are probably the two best, most consistent waves in Southern California.”

“Southern California is where competitions, industry, some of the most famous world champions live.”
