A new work focused private membership club named Executive Branch has opened in Washington D.C. Donald Trump Jr. co-founded it with a roster of other tech and business luminaries. One infrastructure exclusive club–the A4A–has a very high membership fee of $500,000. This price would make it the third-most-expensive club in the United States. The Executive Branch fosters an exclusionary culture for its appointees. Plus get private access to cool restaurants, bars, meeting rooms, workout studios and spas!
The founders of Executive Branch include Wallylynn Hurst, Andru Gully, Michael Jesselson, and Jamila Simpson. Among them are David Sacks, the Winklevoss twins, Alex Witkoff and Zach Witkoff. The club has proven to be an instant success, boasting a waiting list of potential members already clamoring to get in. In truth, some people have offered to pay $1 million just to get a seat at the table.
Membership at Executive Branch is not open to the public—it is by referral only and members are vetted by a rigorous screening process. This exclusivity is quite purposeful, as the founders are looking for a certain demographic.
“We don’t want members of the media or just a lot of lobbyists joining,” – a person close to the club
“We want people to feel comfortable having conversations in privacy.” – a person close to the club
The club’s launch party took place recently and featured prominent attendees such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and SEC Chairman Paul Atkins. The star power of the event’s prominent guests turned heads. The convening organizers placed a strong emphasis on creating an intimate space that allowed members to have private, candid conversations.
Executive Branch’s $75 membership fee is more than triple that of similar clubs. That’s over 2.5 times the Aman Club’s annual fee! This is a clear signal that the founders are committed to fostering a more elite, smaller membership as shown in mbois’s comment. In addition, the Executive Branch still has not disclosed what its annual dues will be. This makes the costs of exclusivity even more opaque.
The founders envision Executive Branch as not merely a club but a community of influential individuals from various sectors, particularly within technology and business. Their participation — shown above in the launch event that took place in late September — by tech founders and CEOs, such as AppLovin CEO Adam Foroughi, underscores that intent.
And the President’s Executive Branch is preparing to receive its first members. It will be fascinating to watch how their exclusivity shapes the debate and dialogue taking place inside its walls. The founders’ hope is to create a beautiful, elegant space, while ensuring that participants’ privacy and comfort remains paramount. This intimate setting encourages deep connections between some of America’s most powerful leaders.
