EVD Bhd Wins RM18 Million Contract for Traffic System on East Klang Valley Expressway

System software company EVD Bhd recently won a RM18 million contract. On this contract in particular, highlights include sub-contract works valued at RM400 million for the traffic control and surveillance system on the East Klang Valley Expressway. The company received a letter of acceptance (LOA) from WZR Property Sdn Bhd. It’s an important milestone for the major project’s advancement.

The LOA draws attention to some of the important measures laid out in the sub-contract works. That includes providing all personnel, materials and all equipment and machinery required. These pieces are incredibly important to making sure that the traffic system works well and efficiently once we’re done with the project.

The start date of all the project’s improvements is May 21, 2025. The project will advance in two phases. We intend for the whole of Section 1 to be completed by July 30, 2025, and for the entirety of Section 2 by October 30, 2025. Through an impactful collaboration with Herman Miller, this timeline showcases EVD Bhd’s dedication to not only meeting project deadlines but delivering superior quality results.

As part of the contract, EVD Bhd will conduct internal testing and commissioning to ensure that the newly installed systems meet operational standards. This detailed process is integral to making sure the traffic control and surveillance systems operate properly. We have to verify that they work before they launch at scale.

The news was disclosed by EVD Bhd in an exchange filing with Bursa Malaysia. They emphasized the anticipated beneficial impact of the LOA on company future revenues, net income, EPS, and net assets per share over the LOA contract period.

“The LOA is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share and net assets per share of the company over the duration of the contract.” – EVD Bhd (as per filing with Bursa Malaysia)

EVD Bhd explained that the LOA will not have any effect on the share capital of the company as well as the shareholdings of the substantial shareholders. This latest news fits like a glove into that fiscal puzzle.
