Apink Prepares to Bloom Again in Singapore with New Year Concert

Apink, the beloved South Korean girl group, is set to enchant their fans once again as they prepare for their Pink New Year concert in Singapore. The event, scheduled for February 20 at Arena @ Expo Hall 7, marks their return to the region after nearly a decade. The concert, presented by Viu Scream Dates, promises to deliver a memorable experience for fans old and new. Tickets are available on Bookmyshow.com, offering fans the opportunity to witness the group's captivating performance.

As Apink approaches their 14th anniversary in 2025, the group reflects on their journey with gratitude and anticipation. With the departure of two members over the years—Yookyung in 2013 and Naeun in 2022—the remaining members, Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung, continue to carry the group's legacy forward. Their last musical release was the single "Wait Me There" in 2024, and they recently performed at a group concert in Seoul in December of the same year.

Hayoung expressed her excitement about returning to Singapore, acknowledging the long interval since their last performance there. She shared her hopes for creating "new and wonderful memories" with their fans.

"I can't believe it's already been nine years! We've remained the same, but I feel sorry that for our fans, those nine years probably felt like 90 years, haha. Whenever we come to Singapore, we're always warmly welcomed by the fans, and it stays in my memory. I want to apologise for coming so late," – Hayoung

Reflecting on their time together, Namjoo likened her experience as an idol to a blooming flower. She described her twenties as a period of growth and introspection.

"I feel like my 20s were always like an incomplete flower. On the outside, it was refreshing, beautiful and vibrant, but on the inside, it was fragile, still a flower that hadn't fully bloomed yet," – Namjoo

As she enters her thirties, Namjoo aspires to become a source of hope and light for those navigating similar uncertainties.

"In my 30s, I'm walking the path of becoming a complete adult after passing through the uncertainties of my 20s, and I hope to be someone who can give even a little hope and light to younger ones who are feeling uncertain." – Namjoo

The members' camaraderie has strengthened over the years through shared experiences during tours and performances. Their unique personalities and sense of humor have endeared them to fans worldwide.

"All five members of Apink have different types of humour, so I think each fan connects with different members based on their sense of humour." – Hayoung

Chorong, the eldest member turning 34 next month, finds solace in her relationships with fellow members and personal pursuits.

"I tend to open up to the members and talk about it. Just doing that makes my heart feel a lot lighter. And lately, I've been healing through my pets," – Chorong

Bomi reminisced about her past visits to Singapore and shared fond memories of exploring the city with friends.

"One of my close friends used to live in Singapore. So when I went to Singapore to perform, I took a taxi with them and had a short little trip. The food was delicious and I have fond memories of having a great time!" – Bomi

Despite the challenges faced in their journey as idols, Bomi expressed gratitude for the support system around her.

"As an idol, there were many tough moments, but I believe they were just the kinds of struggles and pain that anyone going through their youth for the first time would experience. I was able to overcome those moments well, being with the people I love," – Bomi

Namjoo echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of cherished moments with fans, members, and staff.

"My greatest happiness right now is the time I spend with my fans, members, and staff. Truly. These moments are so precious, and every second is filled with happiness that I don't want to miss." – Namjoo

Hayoung promised fans an unforgettable concert experience with fresh performances intertwined with familiar hits.

"I believe the warmth of this concert will stay in our hearts and become an unforgettable memory for life. We also tried to show new stages that we hadn't done before for our fans. We didn't want to show the same performance to the fans who have been with us at every concert, but for those who were seeing us for the first time, we tried to mix familiar songs with unfamiliar ones." – Hayoung
