Actor DeRon Horton is recovering after a shooting left him with a shattered left arm just before Christmas. Horton was struck by a bullet through a car window, an incident that could have been much more severe. Despite the injury, Horton remains optimistic and grateful for his life, crediting his faith and the support of his friends and colleagues for his positive outlook.

"Everybody that checked on me n holla'd at me specially my family and friends, I love y'all, thank you."
The actor also expressed deep appreciation for his faith, attributing his survival to divine intervention. Horton emphasized the importance of keeping God first in his life, a sentiment highlighted in his social media posts.
"First off, I wanna give honour to god for covering me and protecting me to make it out this situation and countless other ones."
Horton’s ability to maintain a positive attitude despite the circumstances underscores his resilience. His gratitude extends beyond his recovery, as he recognizes how close he came to a far worse fate.
"But I'm blessed to not be in a casket or paralysed. Lord thank you."
