In May, the Shizuoka Prefectural Tourism Association will host a pair of luxury golf tours specifically designed for affluent Taiwanese travelers. Set amidst the stunning landscapes of Shizuoka prefecture, located just south of Tokyo, these tours promise participants a unique and upscale golfing experience. Over 30 visitors from Taiwan are expected to partake in this exclusive event, which highlights the region's picturesque golf courses and breathtaking views of Mount Fuji.
The tours have been meticulously organized to cater to the tastes of wealthy travelers, offering a luxurious experience at a cost of approximately 500,000 yen ($3,200) per person, excluding airfare. This initiative aims to position Shizuoka as a premier destination for international golfers seeking both challenging courses and scenic beauty. The Shizuoka Prefectural Tourism Association is actively promoting these tour packages as a strategic effort to boost tourism in the area.
In preparation for these tours, Taiwanese travel agents conducted visits to Susono Country Club and various other golf courses within Shizuoka prefecture last December. These preliminary visits were instrumental in showcasing the region's golf facilities, which are renowned for their well-maintained courses and stunning vistas that include the iconic Mount Fuji. The feedback from these agents has been overwhelmingly positive, further solidifying Shizuoka's reputation as a desirable location for golf enthusiasts.
Golfers participating in the tours will have the opportunity to experience the diverse range of courses available, each offering its own unique challenges and aesthetic appeal.
