Former Actor Wong He Battles Kidney Failure in Revealing Instagram Posts

Wong He, a former actor and policeman, has publicly shared his health struggles, revealing his battle with kidney failure. The 57-year-old, famed for his role as a firefighter in the popular television series "Burning Flame" and its sequel, has been documenting his journey through Instagram posts. Wong He, who began his showbiz career in 1992 with ATV before moving to TVB, now resides between Taiwan and the UK.

In recent Instagram updates, Wong He shared a series of revealing photos, including images taken on July 15 and December 10, showing bruising on his body and face. On December 23, he posted a photo of himself on an intravenous drip, signaling a serious health condition. His hospital stay reportedly cost NT$7,000 (S$290) per night, emphasizing the severity of his situation.

On January 14, Wong He made another revealing post by sharing photos of his medical chart. This post seemingly confirmed that his December hospitalization was due to kidney failure. His candid sharing has drawn significant attention from his followers, who have been quick to offer their support and well-wishes. Some followers have advised him to closely monitor his diet and blood sugar levels.

Wong He is best known for winning the TVB Anniversary Award for My Favourite Television Character. Despite his accolades, he now faces a new challenge that extends beyond the screen.
