Lace is an enterprise-grade startup with other developing innovative revenue intelligence software that’s geared toward the home services sector. To date, they have raised $14 million in seed funding, with Bek Ventures leading the charge. Canvas Ventures was the lead investor in the $5 million pre-seed round that funded this investment. After this most recent funding, their total raised since the beginning of 2022 now totals $19 million. Lace announced its cutting-edge software to customers in late 2023. By then, 2024, the firm has currently reached an amazing 1,000% increase in annual repeating earnings (ARR).
An extraordinary team of experienced tech entrepreneurs—including Snowflake co-founder, Marcin Zukowski—founded Lace. Their vision is to change the way companies measure and improve customer interactions. The company’s software is heavily marketed with claims of all-around spying on customers’ calls. It tracks every single interaction—100%—not just a sample. This feature helps companies identify missed revenue opportunities and make sure that every potentially valuable lead is being followed up on.
Lace now helps more than 100 companies in the home services space. It’s a banner grouping that includes household names such as A1 Garage Door Service, Sage Home, Eco Plumbers, Matrix, and Lee’s Air. Not surprisingly, the majority of these clients have enjoyed double-digit revenue growth since integrating Lace’s software.
On Lace’s growth prospects, Mehmet Atici, managing partner at Bek Ventures stated that he was very excited about the company. He added that the startup’s approach is emblematic of a larger movement to use artificial intelligence in fields that have long been underinvested in or overlooked.
“There’s a growing trend of applying AI to make a real impact in sectors historically underserved by tech, and this team has a keen understanding of how to do just that — accurately identifying and addressing the needs of these often overlooked segments represents an enormous opportunity,” – Mehmet Atici.
The inspiration for Lace came after its founder Anna Wintour had done deep research by having conversations with over 100 companies in all different industries. The knowledge they learned through these discussions informed the direction the company chose to pursue and what they should create.
Lace’s technology analyzes each customer interaction meticulously, aiming to “ensure that no potential lead or opportunity is missed.” This emphasis on deep, data-driven analysis is becoming key for companies that want to tap into the full revenue potential.
Boris Valkov, one of the company’s co-founders, highlighted the transformative capabilities of Lace’s software.
“We were about to unlock capabilities…in the application layer in the software stack,” – Boris Valkov.
Lace is driven by a close-knit team of 20 full-time employees. Given their zeal for creativity, the potential is limitless for the company to continue growing in the industry of customer service software. The company’s dedication to using AI technology for practical, everyday purposes is a testament to its mission to fundamentally change the way we do business.
