Legal Drama Unfolds: Christina Fulton Sues Nicolas Cage Over Alleged Assault by Son

Christina Fulton has filed a lawsuit against her former spouse, actor Nicolas Cage, following an alleged assault by their son, Weston Cage, in April of last year. In the suit, Fulton claims she was "brutally assaulted" by Weston, which resulted in "severe and life-threatening injuries." The legal action accuses Nicolas Cage of negligence, citing his alleged failure to address Weston's mental health issues and purportedly enabling his behavior.

According to the lawsuit, Fulton's accusations against Cage are multifaceted. She alleges that Cage ignored concerns about Weston's mental health, despite his long-standing history of psychological disorders and violent behavior. Furthermore, the lawsuit claims Cage exacerbated the situation by consuming alcohol with Weston, fully aware of his son's past issues with substance abuse.

"Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others, including Plaintiff, based on his documented history of violent assaults, substance abuse, and mental instability." – Christina Fulton

The legal documents also highlight the personal and professional impact on Fulton. At the time of the incident, she was engaged in filming a Netflix series. The alleged assault not only left her physically unable to continue filming but also prevented her from participating in promotional events, ultimately derailing her career as a model and actress. The lawsuit claims that these circumstances have severely damaged her reputation.

Fulton is suing both Nicolas Cage and her son, Weston. The charges against Weston include assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Against Cage, the allegations extend to negligent supervision and negligent undertaking.

"Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals." – Christina Fulton

"Nicolas has been aware of Weston's history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others." – Christina Fulton

The lawsuit suggests a pattern of negligence on Cage's part, asserting that he failed to intervene or take appropriate measures despite knowing Weston's history. This legal battle brings to light complex issues surrounding parental responsibility and the challenges of dealing with familial mental health matters.
