In June 2023, the company made headlines when it raised $112 million in a seed stage funding round – a new record. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the $42 million investment, raising the firm’s valuation to $260 million. Since that time, Mistral AI’s valuation has soared to nearly $6 billion as of the beginning of 2025.
