Musical Comebacks: The Click Five and Jackson Wang Return to the Spotlight

In a wave of thrilling comebacks, American pop-rock band The Click Five and K-pop idol Jackson Wang have made their much-anticipated returns to the music scene. The Click Five is set to perform in Singapore on May 6 at the Capitol Theatre, marking their reunion after a decade-long hiatus. Meanwhile, Jackson Wang, a member of the K-pop group Got7, has announced his return following a reflective year off.

The Click Five, best known for their 2000s hits like "Jenny" and "Just The Girl," will feature only three of its original members—Kyle Patrick, Joe Guese, and Ethan Mentzer—due to scheduling conflicts. Their reunion tour across Southeast Asia spans from May 4 to 10. Kyle Patrick, who became the band's lead singer in 2007 after Eric Dill's departure, expressed gratitude to fans in an Instagram post.

"It's all thanks to you guys. The fans, you've kept on playing our songs through all these years. I truly didn't think we'd ever play a show again." – Kyle Patrick

The Click Five disbanded in 2013 but has reignited their musical journey, bringing nostalgia to their fans across Southeast Asia.

Parallelly, Jackson Wang has officially returned to the music realm. Known as a Hong Kong-born K-pop idol, Wang debuted with Got7 in 2014 and has since expanded his artistic scope as the creative director of Team Wang Design. After re-entering the public domain gradually since August last year, he shared his reflections on Instagram.

"Been taking a year off for my mind, healing and seeking the real purpose of all this. I spent more time with family and realised a lot — what matters the most to me and why. I got to understand a lot about myself, even the sides that I was avoiding." – Jackson Wang

His Instagram post also hinted at future projects waiting to unfold.

"A lot to share and unload in 2025. I'm officially back and working on a lot of stuff that I cherish… To everyone here that knows me, thanks for always being there for me. I hope for nothing but happiness for everyone here. May the 2025 version of yourself be the honest and pure you." – Jackson Wang

In addition to these musical returns, Hong Kong actress Angelababy has re-emerged with her latest drama "Everlasting Longing." The series premiered in China on January 20 with five episodes released simultaneously, adding to the entertainment buzz.
