Naomi Campbell to Mentor Thai Talent in New Modeling Initiative

Naomi Campbell, the renowned British fashion model, will visit Thailand next month to lend her expertise in developing local modeling talent. This initiative is part of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's broader campaign to bolster Thailand's soft power and stimulate the national economy. Set to take place from February 8 to 10, Campbell's visit aims to scout and train promising individuals from every corner of Thailand.

Thaksin Shinawatra, who spearheads this innovative initiative, envisions a program that identifies and nurtures Thai individuals of all genders with the potential to become world-class models. A significant aspect of the training program is the selection of candidates who are "born beautiful by nature, without beauty surgery," highlighting a focus on natural beauty.

"We will screen Thais who are born beautiful by nature, without beauty surgery."

The program, which stretches from village-level searches to national selections, is designed to create earning opportunities for Thai citizens by positioning them on the global modeling stage. Thaksin asserts that such initiatives can significantly contribute to promoting Thailand's soft power and strengthening its economic standing.

Although Naomi Campbell has not officially confirmed her participation in the program, Thaksin emphasizes her role in providing invaluable insights on how Thai talents can emulate her success and compete internationally. The initiative underscores Thaksin's belief in the inherent potential of Thai people to excel in the modeling industry.

"Anyone inspired to become a world-class model can come out of their small hut to join the scheme."

Despite the lack of a formal announcement from Campbell herself, excitement surrounds her upcoming visit. The program promises to offer aspirants a unique opportunity to learn from one of the industry's most successful figures.
