Orange Shield: Future Family’s New IVF Insurance with Money-Back Guarantee

Future Family
has introduced a pioneering IVF insurance product named Orange Shield, designed to alleviate the financial burden of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Available at participating clinics nationwide, Orange Shield offers comprehensive coverage for IVF-related expenses up to a maximum limit of $50,000. This innovative policy ensures that if treatment is unsuccessful after two cycles, families can receive a refund, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting prospective parents.

Orange Shield's pricing structure involves an initial cost of $3,000 followed by monthly installments of $999 over five months. Alternatively, families may opt for a lump sum payment. The policy stipulates that a couple must pay 20% of the insurance upfront before commencing an IVF cycle. Should they remain childless after two cycles or lose a baby within two weeks of birth, they are eligible to file a claim for reimbursement.

Patients aged 38 and older qualify for coverage only if they choose to use donor eggs. Unfortunately, those in this age group planning to use their own eggs do not currently meet eligibility criteria. The cost of undergoing two IVF cycles can soar to $40,000, largely varying by location, making Orange Shield a significant financial relief for many aspiring parents.

“Our goal is simple: to help build more families by making IVF successful, easy to afford, and less stressful,” – Claire Tomkins

In terms of funding, Future Family stands on a solid financial foundation with $150 million secured, including a $100 million credit facility announced in 2018. The company has garnered support from prominent investors such as Munich Re Ventures, TriVentures, MS&AD Ventures, ORIX, Aspect Ventures, Mindset Ventures, at.inc/, and OurCrowd. Since its inception in 2016, Future Family has distributed $200 million in credit and has successfully assisted over 10,000 families through the IVF process.
