Owen Nowhere Set to Revolutionize Kids’ Entertainment with Immersive Experience and Digital Collectibles

Owen Nowhere, an innovative new animated kids’ series, launching this fall, which combines classic storytelling with cutting-edge technology. The show follows the adventures of Owen B. Gloom, a preteen aspiring content creator, who goes on a family road trip to document visits to unusual tourist attractions. The inaugural stop is the crème de la crème, unarguably the world’s largest tourist attraction, guaranteeing everyone—from kids to CEOs—a fun and enriching experience.

Owen Nowhere will be playable on Lamina1’s Spaces. This platform enables creators to design their own virtual worlds, creating a unique environment for fans to immerse themselves in. The series plans to offer an interactive experience that encourages audience participation, allowing fans to contribute ideas for the storyline and directly engage with the content.

Owen Nowhere wants to build a grassroots army of champions, whose support will be instrumental in bringing this show to life. Fans can further join the fun by collecting digital collectibles that feature series-related artwork, characters, and outfits associated with the iconic series. These assets help fans to become active participants in the show’s development. Along the way, they experience the authentic joy of having ownership of the content.

Chris Jammal, co-founder of We Ghosted Media, conveyed excitement about what this unique format makes possible.

“Maybe they want to buy that souvenir that Owen picked up at the Grand Canyon as their own digital asset. Maybe they want to change his outfit. There are so many possibilities of how this can go.” – Chris Jammal

Digital assets are meant to be audience-interactive. They hope to raise the bar in children’s entertainment. From the creators’ notes, makers’ intention and audience, they want to go further than kids alone. They are committed to creating an inclusive platform that speaks to all Americans.

Rebecca Barkin, producer with We Ghosted Media, spoke to the need for community engagement in the production process.

“I won’t tell you that we have the perfect answer right now…we’re going to learn real fast as this develops what protections need to be put in place.” – Rebecca Barkin

The series will feature an innovative token system that enables the series to reward creative contributions from fans in a spirit of collaboration. Barkin elaborated on this concept by stating,

“That token can be used as a loyalty token; it doesn’t have to be about cash and trading and the traditional crypto stuff. It’s about token-gated access and rewarding those who are sharing things, who are making really creative contributions to the community.” – Rebecca Barkin

Beyond being a bold new animated series, Owen Nowhere has the capacity to empower kids with adventurous stories. It embodies the future of decentralized entertainment, igniting imagination and engagement within its audience. By integrating digital collectibles and immersive experiences, the creators aim to create a more engaging viewing environment where fans feel invested in the show’s success.

The project is a collaboration between Chris Jammal and Jaclynn Demas, who are committed to setting a “new standard for the future of children’s entertainment in the decentralized era.” Their vision is an embodiment of an accelerating trend in media that relies on audience participation to co-create content.
