Shizuoka Prefecture is making waves by promoting exclusive tour packages tailored for affluent international golfers, particularly focusing on visitors from Taiwan. The Shizuoka Prefectural Tourism Association has announced the launch of two luxurious golf tours in May, specially designed for wealthy Taiwanese travelers. These exclusive packages offer not only the opportunity to play golf but also the breathtaking views of Mount Fuji, an iconic symbol of Japan, enhancing the experience.
The tours promise a unique blend of luxury and scenic beauty, highlighting Shizuoka's stunning landscapes. Situated south of Tokyo, Shizuoka Prefecture is known for its picturesque scenery and is now leveraging this natural beauty to attract high-end tourists, with over 30 visitors from Taiwan expected to participate in these tours. The cost is set at approximately 500,000 yen ($3,200) per person, with airfare excluded, reflecting the premium nature of this offering.
In preparation for these tours, Taiwanese travel agents visited several golf courses in Shizuoka Prefecture, including the Susono Country Club, in December. This visit was part of an effort to showcase the quality and unique offerings of the region's golf courses. The aim is to provide travelers not only with top-notch golfing facilities but also with an unforgettable view of Mount Fuji during their games.
The Shizuoka Prefectural Tourism Association is at the forefront of organizing these tours, focusing on attracting affluent Taiwanese travelers.
