Thailand Crowned as the World’s Most Adulterous Nation

Thailand is now the undisputed world champion of adultery. Its success rate is a galling 51% cheating rate! The Bebdible Research Centre’s study in September 2022 provided valuable details on global infidelity trends. It looked at how these patterns of cheating have changed over time, from 1960.

The study highlighted that Thailand’s infidelity rate surpasses those of numerous other countries, including Denmark, Germany, Italy, France, Norway, Belgium, Spain, Finland, and the United Kingdom. These comparisons best operated to highlight Thailand’s broad lead in the world league of marital infidelity.

There are a number of cultural forces that help explain this surprising rate of infidelity. One particularly interesting practice is Mia Noi, or “little wife,” which entails double dating. This tradition has come to permit men to have several romantic relationships at the same time, all to perpetuate a space where cheating is accepted.

Thailand’s booming sex trade is another huge contributor to infidelity in this country. Their pervasive availability creates opportunities for extramarital encounters that many would find difficult to resist. This part of Thai culture contributes to the high levels of infidelity. It further complicates the social environment around relationships.

The Bebdible Research Centre’s comprehensive study broke down infidelity trends by gender, age, and country, offering a detailed examination of how cheating behaviors differ across demographics. To understand how these factors affected attendance, researchers closely studied each one. This allowed them to greatly expand their understanding of the motivations and circumstances that cause infidelity.

These new reports – from independent media like The Nation/ANN and Insider Monkey – are huge. Most importantly, they prove that Thailand is number one in the world for rates of adultery. These reports shed light on the enormous consequences produced by high infidelity rates. They destroy communities, including social and familial ties across our nation.
