As a reminder, Kirby just recently said that the Chinese laboratory leak theory seems like the most likely explanation. He cautioned that a firm conclusion has not been drawn yet.

The World Health Organization has faced accusations of politicizing its investigation into the virus, particularly from China’s government, which claims to support research into determining COVID-19’s origin.

The Trump administration has rightly taken advantage of these developments to attack Biden’s management and response to the pandemic. Their arguments shine new light on deficiencies in the World Health Organization’s investigation methodology.
