Trump Appoints Hollywood Heavyweights as Special Ambassadors

In a surprising move, President-elect Donald Trump announced that actors Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight will serve as his "special ambassadors" to Hollywood. The announcement, made on Truth Social, aims to usher in a new "golden age" for the filmmaking industry by keeping business within the United States. Trump has tasked these three iconic actors with advising him on how to encourage studios and creatives to remain in California and to bring Hollywood back to its former glory.

Jon Voight, aged 86, has long been a vocal supporter of Trump and previously lauded him as the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. His admiration continued with a recent statement describing Trump as the "second George Washington." Voight, along with Stallone and Gibson, will serve as Special Envoys, operating as Trump's "eyes and ears" in Hollywood.

"It is my honour to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California." – Donald Trump

Sylvester Stallone played a notable role in the lead-up to this appointment by introducing Trump at Mar-a-Lago during his post-vote victory speech. Meanwhile, Mel Gibson became aware of his new role only after Trump's public declaration.

"I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised. Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can." – Mel Gibson

The trio will be responsible for identifying ways to revitalize the U.S. film industry by curtailing the outsourcing of projects to foreign countries. Trump's vision is clear—he wants these ambassadors to help make Hollywood "back, bigger, and stronger than ever before."

"They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK-BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!" – Donald Trump

Mel Gibson had publicly endorsed Trump shortly before the November election, further solidifying his support for the president-elect's initiatives. Trump's strategic appointments reflect his broader ambition to restore Hollywood's reputation and influence.
