Finmid adds €17 million in funding as it signs Bolt vehicle-finance deal
The Berlin startup’s total fundraising reaches €52 million. It also announced a merchant lending agreement with Greek marketplace Skroutz.

Finmid, an embedded-lending startup based in Berlin, has completed a €17 million extension of its Series A funding. Alongside the investment, the company announced an agreement to supply vehicle financing to Bolt, the Estonian ride-hailing business.
Finmid said the arrangement gives Bolt’s fleet operators access to financing of as much as €400,000 over a period of four years. The startup also agreed to provide merchant lending for Skroutz, a Greek online marketplace. Wolt and Delivery Hero are among its other partners.
Athens venture capital firm Big Pi Ventures co-led the extension with Mainset of London. Earlybird returned as an investor, while Blossom Capital is another existing backer. Finmid’s fundraising now totals €52 million.
The new money is intended for a broader range of asset-finance products, infrastructure and underwriting, as well as expansion into mobility, e-commerce and other categories.
Former N26 executives Alex Talkanista and Max Schertel launched Finmid in 2021. The company provides lending under its clients’ brands and counts N26 co-founder Max Tayenthal among its backers.
