HomeTruth has named Graham Martin as its chairman after he bought an equity stake in the proptech start-up. His remit includes working with co-founders Jason Ryan and Monty Munford on developing products, building commercial partnerships and expanding into markets.

The company describes its service as a platform using AI-driven information to help homeowners manage and protect their properties. Its tools collect documents, warranties, maintenance histories and spending records, alongside tailored guidance, repair and servicing reminders and information on possible costs.

Martin’s previous ventures include Bonne Terre Limited, which held the licence for Sky Bet, and Scotbet International, which became one of Scotland’s biggest independent bookmakers. He was also chairman of mobile betting technology business Probability Games Corporation, whose London AIM listing preceded its purchase by GTECH.

Munford, HomeTruth’s chief executive and co-founder, said Martin’s entrepreneurial background and commercial judgement suited the company’s needs. Martin said he believed HomeTruth addressed a gap in the property market and saw a commercial opportunity for the team.
