Roleo has secured €2.9 million to improve its AI career agent and expand across Europe, initially targeting technology professionals and companies. Baltic venture capital investor Practica Capital led the funding round, joined by Nordic venture capital firm Inventure.

The startup was founded by Janer Gorohhov, who co-founded identity-verification company Veriff, and Vahur Hansen, an early engineering team member at Wise and a co-founder of Membo. Gorohhov is Roleo’s chief executive.

Roleo says its free service searches for potential roles using information about a user’s experience, career ambitions, pay expectations and working preferences. It can introduce users to hiring managers without a formal application, while allowing them to decide what personal information is visible and whether to pursue a role.

According to the company, users have explored 30,000 career opportunities identified by its agent since the start of 2026. Roleo says the system assesses hundreds of thousands of possibilities weekly and generally picks three for each user. Its users include people working at Google, Amazon, Stripe and Spotify.

The company plans to use the funding to make the agent more responsive to individual needs and add functions supporting longer-term career development. For employers, Roleo says its platform offers access to candidates who are receptive to opportunities even when they are not actively looking for work.
