.si domain registrations jump following Trump’s AI renaming
Hostinger counted 22,800 registrations by 8,000 buyers after Trump began promoting the term “super intelligence” on 23 September.

Purchases of .si web addresses have increased as buyers anticipate demand for branding based on “super intelligence”, the name US President Donald Trump adopted for artificial intelligence through an executive order. Web hosting company Hostinger said registrations peaked at 5,300 a day on both 1 and 2 October.
Trump initially promoted the terminology during his 23 September speech to the UN General Assembly, arguing that the word “artificial” implied something fake. He formalised the renaming after a summit with leading American AI companies.
Hostinger’s figures put US buyers first, with 5,640 registrations, followed by India with 5,560. Together, those countries accounted for about half of the total. Morocco registered roughly 1,320 domains, placing it ahead of the UK, UAE and Canada.
The average purchase in Morocco was 4.9 domains per buyer, compared with 2.8 across all buyers. Explicit AI terminology appeared in only 3 per cent of registered names. Short names accounted for the largest category, at 13 per cent, with technology-related names next.
