Fronted raises €1.7 million for international hiring platform
Kaknäs Invest led the seed round, with funding earmarked for commercial expansion, operations in 70 countries and further payroll technology development.

Nordic HR technology start-up Fronted has secured €1.7 million in seed investment to expand internationally and develop its platform for cross-border employment. Swedish investor Kaknäs Invest led the funding round.
Skagerak Capital joined the round, along with returning backers Antler and Sondo Capital and a group of new angel investors. Fronted plans to use the money to expand commercially, extend its operational infrastructure to 70 countries and develop its AI-powered payroll engine.
The company was founded by chief executive Marius Blaker Høgevold and Hans Nyvold Kjellby, its chairman and chief commercial officer. Its platform brings together international recruitment, Employer of Record services and the establishment and management of company entities.
Fronted says its software automates payroll calculations, tax reconciliation and the generation of employment contracts. By embedding local labour rules, the company aims to cut manual administration, make pricing clearer and simplify compliance across jurisdictions.
Høgevold said businesses expanding abroad face costs and complexity when using existing service providers. Fronted aims to let companies handle international hiring and employment administration through one provider.
