German start-up VUSE XR has secured €1.2 million in pre-seed financing to develop its enterprise training platform and expand its business. IACD, a business angel network based in Düsseldorf, led the investment, joined by other angel investors.

Founded by Niclas Matthias and Dr Paul Matthias, VUSE XR makes software for industrial and life sciences businesses. Its VUSE XR Hub is intended to let companies build and revise mixed reality training as their products and working processes change.

The company says the platform turns CAD models, engineering information and other technical materials into photorealistic 3D models for interactive lessons. Users can assemble training sequences with AI assistance, text prompts or drag-and-drop tools, then make them available through browsers, mobile devices and XR headsets.

VUSE XR names ZEISS, Witron, Hologic and Badenova among its customers. According to the company, they use the software to explain products and processes and deliver practical instruction without needing physical equipment at the training location.

The business charges recurring software licence fees and offers support for onboarding and initial training applications. Alongside the financing, it announced Jan Hendrik Degner’s appointment as Chief Commercial Officer and Robert Günther’s as Vice President of Sales and Service Delivery.
