Sweden’s Strawberry launches AI browser beyond beta
The startup is targeting enterprise staff without coding skills, with agents designed for sales, recruitment, marketing and customer support.

Stockholm-based Strawberry has opened its AI browser beyond beta, offering businesses built-in assistants that can automate routine tasks. Chief executive Charles Maddock said its main competitors were large agent platforms, including ChatGPT and Claude, rather than other AI browsers.
Employees can build agents for particular jobs without writing code, or use agents already available through the browser. Strawberry calls these assistants “companions”. The company says they use information from team workflows and browser logins to learn how a business operates, with their work shared across the organisation.
The company says running agents on users’ devices addresses European demand for technological sovereignty. Its beta programme began around a year before the launch with selected clients. Customers include Lovable, which uses the product to find engineers, and Tandem Health. According to Strawberry, early users have also developed assistants to identify prospective sales customers.
Established in 2023, Strawberry employs 12 people. Maddock co-founded it with chief operating officer Sebastian Thunman and chief technology officer Arian Hanifi. Maddock said the company would raise a Series A round when it planned to expand the product across Europe and the US.
