Investor Yvonne Bajela has established her first solo fund, Evertrue Capital, with US$17 million to invest in pre-seed technology and AI businesses across Europe and the UK. Its typical investment will be around £350,000.

Evertrue said its three-year plan is to support a minimum of around twenty start-ups, either leading investments or joining other investors. Seven businesses have received funding so far: they include automotive AI company Revion, fintech Zuba and Poindexter Labs, which works on AI data and infrastructure.

Phoenix Court, the London venture capital firm where Bajela was previously a partner, is backing Evertrue through Basecamp, its fund of funds. Other supporters include Allocator One, Bootstrap 4F, Better Society Capital and the British Business Bank. The investor group also includes founders, operators and general partners from Evertrue’s network.

Bajela, Evertrue’s founder and general partner, said she wanted to support founders who combine a detailed understanding of a problem with the discipline to build a company before gaining broader market recognition.

Her earlier career included Goldman Sachs and Japan’s Mitsui, where she invested in Wise. Before moving to Phoenix Court, she also led a seed investment in Marshmallow.
