Denmark’s EIFO commits to TEKEVER’s US$580 million funding round
The defence technology company plans an operational base in Odense, its first Nordic location, with expansion dependent on demand and approvals.

TEKEVER plans to establish operations in Odense, Denmark, as the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) commits to participating in the closing of its US$580 million Series D round. The company said the Danish presence would support its activities across the Nordic region.
The funding round was initially announced on 23 September 2026, with TEKEVER valued at US$6.4 billion. The company said the financing would help fund international expansion, strengthen industrial and technological capabilities, and support strategic acquisitions.
Work is under way to set up a Danish entity and organise local operations. TEKEVER said it would build its presence gradually, subject to demand and approvals. The announcement followed a Copenhagen meeting with Denmark’s defence minister, Jeppe Bruus.
TEKEVER cited Odense’s drone and robotics sector as the reason for choosing the city. It pointed to testing facilities, university research, specialist businesses and talent available locally. The company develops AI-centred autonomous systems for defence, security and civilian uses.
The company said it already works with Danish partners and plans to explore whether its dual-use systems could help monitor critical offshore energy infrastructure. Its Danish plans add to a European network covering Portugal, the UK, France, Germany and Estonia, following the recent opening of a Munich hub.
