Revolut outage disrupts card payments and account access
Customers in several European countries reported problems, while Revolut said their money and data remained safe.

Revolut suffered a service outage on 20 October 2026, with customers reporting declined card payments and difficulties accessing their accounts. The UK-based digital bank said several services were disrupted and that work to resolve the problem was under way.
Reports of problems began that morning. Some customers encountered error messages when attempting to log in, while others said they could not access their funds. Complaints came from countries including France, Ireland, Spain, the UK and Japan, although it was unclear whether all Revolut users were affected.
The company said customers’ money and data were safe and apologised for the disruption. It had not given an expected time for services to return.
Revolut says its retail customer base exceeds 80 million. Its biggest markets are the UK, with 13 million customers, Spain, with 6 million, and France, with 5 million. Its Revolut Business service is also used by more than 750,000 companies.
