Apple Corps has announced that Liverpool’s The Beatles Story attraction will relocate in 2028 to a 9,290-square-metre site opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. The planned venue will occupy the former St Johns Market premises within St Johns Shopping Centre, replacing its Albert Dock location.

The company says the new attraction will cover more than four times the space of the existing venue, with a visit lasting several hours. Plans also include a Yellow Submarine-themed experience offering 360-degree views from St Johns Beacon.

The Beatles Story says it will combine original artefacts, immersive technology and recreated settings to trace the band’s development, including its Liverpool beginnings, early Hamburg years and international success. Props and sets used in Sam Mendes’ forthcoming Beatles films will help recreate the Cavern Club, Abbey Road studios and Shea Stadium.

Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram said ticket revenue would help preserve the band’s story and support a new generation of local artists. Mendes’ four films are scheduled to reach cinemas simultaneously in April 2028.
