Generative AI infrastructure company fal has raised $1.3 billion in Series F financing, bringing its valuation to $16 billion. The investment was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, while NVIDIA, Sound Ventures, HOF Capital and T. Rowe Price joined the round.

The new valuation is double April’s $8 billion. Fal also disclosed a $350 million Series E financing that closed in April, with Sequoia Capital as lead investor. Combined, the two funding rounds total $1.65 billion.

Burkay Gür and Görkem Yurtseven, both Turkish entrepreneurs, established fal in 2021. The company provides infrastructure for businesses using generative models to produce images, video and audio. Its platform supports production and creative work in advertising, entertainment, e-commerce, gaming and marketing.

Fal intends to use the money to enlarge its team and inference infrastructure and develop its generative media technology further. Its work during 2026 has included post-training methods aimed at better model quality and speed, alongside development of proprietary models and those from partners. Research and exploration of new AI content-generation approaches are planned throughout 2027.
