A Lisbon office will support BY Venture Partners’ push into Europe following the US$60 million closing of its third fund, the Dubai-headquartered firm announced. Two local investment hires accompany the opening.

Fund III targets AI-native businesses working on enterprise workflows and aiming for global expansion from the outset. Investments will primarily be capped at US$1 million, covering stages from pre-seed through to Series A.

The firm said it had already backed 15 businesses through the vehicle, which is intended to hold 40 companies. Investments include PQ Shield, Cosyne, Isometric, Huspy and Invisible.

Dubai Future District Fund anchors the vehicle, alongside institutional backers, corporate venture investors and family offices. Participants include Multi Lane, Transmed Capital and the Idriss Family Office (KSA). The closing takes assets under management above US$200 million, the firm said.

Partner Sohrab Jahanbani said the Lisbon base was intended to help European founders access international networks and commercial opportunities. BY Venture Partners says its investments span more than 16 international markets, with two-thirds of capital deployed beyond MENA, in Europe and North America.
