Nvidia invests in four French startups and pledges UK research computing
The chipmaker says its UK computing donation is valued at US$250 million over five years. It has not disclosed the size of the French investments.

Nvidia is making investments in Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment in France, alongside a commitment to donate computing resources for AI safety and security research in the UK. The company has not revealed how much it is investing in the four startups.
Nvidia said the UK donation, worth US$250 million over five years, would support research into agentic AI safety and security. Part of the commitment will go to SOFAIR (Science of Fundamental AI Research Lab) at UCL, BOLD at University of Oxford, and Imperial College London, with support also intended for the broader UK research community.
The French recipients span healthtech, AI, robotics and enterprise software. Genesis AI confirmed Nvidia's role as a strategic investor. Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang, visiting France during a European tour, said the investments were intended to accelerate AI development in Europe.
The investments come weeks after Nvidia agreed to acquire France-founded AI platform Hugging Face for about US$12.9 billion. Nvidia has also previously backed French startups Alice&Bob, Gradium and Scintil Photonics.
