Italian company Space Industries inaugurated its Stellar Hub factory in Settimo Torinese, near Turin, on 28 October 2026. The facility brings spacecraft assembly, systems integration and testing onto one site as the company pursues plans for satellite mass production.

A clean room covering 2,000 square metres forms the centre of the plant. Its modular layout provides as many as 12 distinct areas for integration work, enabling teams to work on multiple programmes at once.

Testing equipment includes a thermal vacuum chamber and an area for vibration checks. Environmental and transmission tests are also conducted at the factory, bringing together checks that form part of the production process.

The hub is designed to serve commercial, scientific and institutional projects. Its scope ranges from individual satellites and small or medium production runs to larger constellations. Housing the operations together reduces transfers between facilities and simplifies coordination.

Founded in Turin in 2025 by the Comat group and Italian-American entrepreneur Giuseppe Santangelo, Space Industries has three contracts and employs around 40 people. The company aims to employ more than 200 staff by 2030 and is targeting annual turnover of €30 million by that year.
