Kabilio raises €10 million as it prepares AI accounting agent rollout
The Spanish company now works with nearly 500 accounting firms and is testing an agent that can handle tasks assigned in plain language.

Kabilio, a Spanish accounting technology company, has raised €10 million to develop its automation tools, roll out an AI accounting agent and expand its platform linking businesses with their accountants. The round was led by Picus Capital and Visionaries; CDTI, Spain’s public technological innovation agency, also invested.
Funding raised since the company’s launch now stands at €14 million. The two lead investors had previously led its pre-seed financing.
Several accounting firms are testing the new agent. Its intended tasks include collecting invoices, checking entries, reconciling transactions and asking for missing paperwork through WhatsApp and email. Accountants can specify tasks in plain language and decide how much autonomy to grant it.
The existing software reads invoices and proposes entries, while accountants retain responsibility for checking and approving the output. Kabilio says its technology reduces bookkeeping and reconciliation time by approximately 60 per cent and operates alongside software firms already use.
A separate offering, Kabilio Empresas, lets small businesses share financial information with accountants as it changes, as well as issue invoices, connect bank accounts and track cash flow. Kabilio plans a later extension of the agent to these businesses, covering invoicing, overdue-payment follow-ups and routine accounting and tax queries.
The company’s accounting-firm customer base has reached nearly 500, against 100 a year earlier. It employs 80 people, with product and engineering accounting for more than half of the workforce.
