ID Finance said it has obtained €545 million through a mix of equity and debt to broaden the products available through Plazo, its consumer finance app. The Barcelona-headquartered fintech aims to make the app a leading platform for consumer credit in Spain.

The company named Spice Expeditions, WashU, Kingsway Capital and investment firm i80 Group as participants in the financing. It did not provide a breakdown between the two types of funding and described the total as among the largest Spanish fintech rounds of recent years.

Plazo brings together payment services, rewards for shopping and borrowing over short periods. The app has also added buy-now-pay-later services as part of its push into consumer credit.

Co-founder Alexander Dunaev said Plazo’s portfolio had tripled in 2025 and that it had become profitable. He presented the financing as a sign of investor confidence in the app and the company’s approach to consumer lending.
