UK customer data specialist Sagacity has been acquired by Accenture, with the transaction’s terms remaining undisclosed. The London-headquartered business was established in 2005 and analyses customer information to help companies understand behaviour and improve services.

More than 140 people employed by Sagacity will become part of Accenture. Their areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, customer intelligence and data analytics. Sagacity also brings data assets and technology that uses AI.

Sohel Aziz, senior managing director at Accenture Song for the UK and Ireland, said customers increasingly wanted to link their data, AI and operations to support growth and reshape customer experiences. He said Sagacity’s expertise would improve Accenture’s ability to help clients act on customer insights and achieve measurable results.

Sagacity CEO and co-founder Anita Dougall said joining Accenture offered an opportunity to increase the impact of its staff, data and technology. She said combining those resources with Accenture’s scale and innovation capabilities could help more organisations achieve business results.
