Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to add Monte Carlo stop in 2027
The Belmond-operated train will travel from Paris via the Côte d’Azur and Monaco before continuing to Venice, with fares starting at €4,870 per person.

Monte Carlo will join the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express itinerary for the first time in May 2027. The service, operated by Belmond, will depart from Paris and follow the Côte d’Azur to Monaco before continuing towards Venice.
The stop is expected to become an annual part of the train’s schedule. Along the French Riviera, passengers will pass the Massif de l’Estérel and Saint-Raphaël, then travel towards Cannes and Nice before reaching the underground station at Monte Carlo.
Fares are set to start at €4,870 per person for two people sharing a historic cabin. The price includes transfers, round-the-clock steward service, all meals, wine selected by the sommelier and unlimited soft drinks.
Accommodation options also include grand suites and L’Observatoire, a carriage designed by French artist JR. Passengers can dine in either of two restaurant cars, while the bar carriage offers cocktails and live piano music.
Pascal Deyrolle, Area Managing Director for Trains – Continental Europe, described the addition as a continuation of the train’s connection with European travel destinations.
