Jet2 unveils all-business-class aircraft for charter customers
The Boeing 737-800NG has 76 seats, compared with 189 on the airline’s usual aircraft of that size.

British low-cost carrier Jet2 has added an aircraft fitted exclusively with business class seating to its charter operation. The Boeing 737-800NG accommodates 76 passengers, with legroom of at least 43 inches at each seat.
Jet2 Charter operates from the UK’s Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The airline said demand from specialist groups and customers in entertainment, music and sport had prompted it to introduce the cabin.
Trevor Caplis, Jet2’s head of charter and airline sales, described the configuration as a first for the airline’s aircraft. He said charter customers who had already travelled on it had given positive feedback about its space and comfort.
The new seating arrangement does not extend to scheduled services, where Jet2 has no business class offering. Its regular aircraft of the same size carry 189 seats.
