Flights at Naples Airport will be suspended throughout November for a renovation costing around €30 million. The works cover the runway, connecting taxiways and the lighting systems that help aircraft navigate.

Construction will continue without interruption, with crews operating day and night throughout the week to reduce disruption. The project has been timed for a month when flight numbers are typically below peak-season levels. Upgrades include replacing and modernising illuminated signals and lights along both the runway and taxiways.

Some airlines intend to move aircraft to nearby airports during the shutdown. Carriers serving the alternatives include Ryanair, easyJet and Vueling, with Italian and international destinations available.

Extra buses will run throughout November between Salerno Airport and Naples Piazza Garibaldi. Connections to Salerno railway station are also due to increase. Routes serving Potenza, Eboli, Battipaglia and the Amalfi Coast will operate normally.

A fixed-fare shared taxi trial has also been introduced. It links Salerno Airport with two destinations: Naples Central railway station and Salerno Central railway station.
